e-Learning Jamaica Company Limited (e-LJam) brings a new dynamic to teaching through the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT’s). The first project, launched in 2006, provided computer and multimedia technologies in the high schools and teachers’ colleges, trained teachers and lecturers in the integration of these technologies into the teaching/learning processes and developed digital learning resources. The second project, the Tablets In Schools (TIS) provides access anytime, anywhere....

As part of the Government of Jamaica’s plan to use technology to improve levels of education of the Jamaican people and to move towards a fully connected and knowledge-based society, the Ministry of Science and Technology (MST) is introducing tablet computer devices to students and teachers in select public schools in Jamaica.
