Jamaica CIRT has become aware that another e-mail is being circulated on the GOJ systems that indicate that they are coming from the *.gov.jm* domain. It may look like this:

NOTE:   If you see this e-mail;

  • DO NOT Forward, Reply or click on the link.
  • DELETE IT IMMEDIATELY (Use SHIFT + DELETE)
  • DO NOT CLICK attachment

NB:  The email you receive may be a variation of the one presented above.

PLEASE NOTE CAREFULLY:

  • This e-mail is not from the Government of Jamaica, even though the domain name (the part after the ‘@’ in the e-mail address) is correct.
  • This e-mail may actually fool unsuspecting recipients as it appears to be legitimate, with the exception of the Download link, which gives it away.

Consequently, please treat every e-mail with an attachment with skepticism (especially e-mails with embedded download links).
